Today, we’re thrilled to announce our recent success at the prestigious 2023 NWC Top 100 SA Wine Awards. This respected South African wine competition recognises the finest South African wines, and this year, our third-generation winery was honoured with an incredible total of 25 awards. Counting among them are eight sought-after Double Platinum Top 100 SA Wine Awards.

Meet Our Two Alvi’s Drift Grand Cru National Champion Best-in-Class Winners
We are very proud to announce that our flagship Verreaux Pinotage and our popular Reserve Drift Fusion red blend were both named Grand Cru National Champion Best in Class in this prestigious local wine competition.
Another notable wine among Alvi’s Drift’s extensive list of award winners is our popular Reserve CVC white blend. Along with our two 2023 Grand Cru National Champion Best-in-Class winners, it was bestowed Double Platinum Top 100 status, attesting to the extraordinary craftsmanship that went into its making.
Our internationally acclaimed Albertus Viljoen Chenin Blanc and Albertus Viljoen Bismarck red blend were both honoured with Double Gold awards, highlighting our winery’s consistency in producing exceptional wines across different varietals.

Our family-owned winery is proud to share that we were also recognised with a Special Vineyard Consistency Award (joint 3rd place). This award serves as a testament to the passion, dedication, and expertise of every member of our winemaking team, making us very proud indeed.
In summary, our wines received two Grand Cru Best in Class Awards, eight Top 100 Double Platinum Awards, nine Double Gold Awards, and five Double Silver Awards.
